Do you use Twitter and iGoogle?

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

I've gotten a PHP version of a Google (iGoogle) gadget working.  It follows your friends, and allows you to post, so far. Check it out at 32hours.com, or the direct article link. It's working, and I'll be improving it pretty quickly.

Using .htaccess To Redirect Visitors and Search Engines

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

So I learned something new today. I've had this blog at http://robert.arlesnet.com for quite a while, but also had a site I never updated at http://www.arlesnet.com. I had finally decided it made more sense to have all "arlesnet.com" visitors end up at my blog rather than some unmaintained ...

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Google has published my gadget. You can now find it in their directory by following this link. It was interesting to find this when I searched the google gadget directory. Interesting because I applied for it, but got no response.

Installing Wordpress is VERY easy.

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

Unbelievable! I just setup a WordPress based site in about 20 minutes. Now, I need to be clear. I am not talking about setting up a blog hosted by WordPress. I'm talking about my own website, and using WordPress software to host it. I was ...

Testing a post using scribefire

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

ScribeFire "is a full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser" I'm gonna give it a try. I'm using Firefox portable, so need a bunch of extensions to make up for what I had using Flock. I'm trying out using all portable apps, so went back to ...

I’m STILL using Flock

Friday, July 13th, 2007

I'm surprised. I'm still using Flock. It's not that it's a poor browser, it's just that it's not Firefox. I mean that the features are really nice, but all of the extensions Firefox has are too much to really leave. So the deal breaker for me ...

Running the Flock (beta) Web Browser

Sunday, July 8th, 2007

I'm now running the Flock beta (.9) I really like this version much better than the released .7 version. The theme makes it much easier to deal with, and more acceptable to the eye. The one thing I'm finding most lacking is tab management. SessionSaver has ...

Trying Flock Web Browser Again

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

It's been a while, but I decided to try the Flock web browser again. I was really excited when I first heard about the beta. So excited (yes, I am a geek for sure) that I posted something about it on my blog. Of course, nobody reads ...

Use Del.icio.us bookmarks creatively (Firefox only)

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

Interesting use of del.icio.us with Firefox (and a dash of google's browser sync) This may be more common than I think, but I haven't seen any reference to it anywhere. Del.icio.us is a social bookmarking site, but I have a different (additional) use for it. In combination with Firefox, ...

Firefox Extensions I’m Using

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

Firefox extentions I'm using now: SessionSaver .2, Tab X, FlashGot, Google Suggest, IE Tab, Tabbrowser preferences, Del.icio.us, SwitchProxy Too, Mozilla Archive Format and Google Browser Sync. I may get rid of the Del.Icio.us extension as I only use it as a bookmark site, and with the RSS feeds + Live ...
